Julius "Tony" Anthony Schlis

Julius "Tony" Anthony Schlis, age 67, of Flint, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Lockwood of Burton. Funeral service will take place 5:00 PM, Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place from 3:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday. Private burial will take place at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint.

Tony was born on June 7, 1958, in Flint the son of the late James and Irene (McCready) Schlis. He worked over the years between carpentry, HVAC and woodworking. Tony lived a life of simplicity and generosity. He volunteered time at the Flint Community Schools, and in his free time, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, and playing retro video games.

He is survived by his daughter, Mariah (John) Schlis-Elias; son, Cory Schlis; 3 brothers, Matt (Carrie) Schlis, Simeon (Nancy) Schlis and Ron (Debbie) Schlis; sister-in-law, Pegi Schlis; and several nieces and nephews.
