IRLWEG, Karen Rene (Koller) - Age 62, of Lake Linden, died Sunday, December 8, 2013. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Josh Hoover officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Adopt-A-Pet and Cleveland Heart Clinic, Cleveland, OH. Rene was born February 20, 1951 in Flint, the daughter of Frank and Evelyn (Swartz) Koller. She received a scholarship and was a graduate of the Art Institute in Chicago. Rene then became a school teacher in Chicago. She had resided in Lake Linden for the past 15 years coming from Chicago. She married John Irlweg and he preceded her in death June 1, 2011. Surviving are: mother, Evelyn Koller; sisters, Virginia Nilsen and husband Tom and Perilyn Rosznowski and husband Frank; brothers, Andrew and Frank Koller; step sons, Jason and Eli Lamantia; nieces and nephews, Frank Harry Koller IV, Daniel Stefanowicz, Iris, Joshua, and Aerin Nilsen; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and her beloved animals, dog Piker and cats Booty Boots, Sweet Pea, Kit Carson, and McPuff.
