Karen L. Thompson

Karen Lynn (Shue) Thompson- Age 68, of Swartz Creek, passed away on August 6, 2026, surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 12PM on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes- Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, Michigan, Pastor Paul "Tigg" Vanaman officiating. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Karen was born on September 26, 1957, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late Lloyd Henry and Alice Marie (Hayward) Shue.

Karen was a member of Great Lakes Bible Church of Holly. She was a devoted wife, an avid reader, and a talented sewer and quilter. She would gift quilts to family and friends for baby showers and weddings, and would read any book she could get her hands on.

Karen is survived by her husband James Thompson; children Rachel Norabuena, William Thompson and Michael Thompson; grandchildren Coralilly, Jonas and Toriana; and siblings Mary Shue and Stephen (Jeanie) Shue.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and son-in-law Adrian Norabuena-Medina.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Genesee Christian Schools or Linden Mills Historical Society in memory of Karen.
