SCHOOL , Karl Donald - Age 65 , of Linden, died May 25, 2013 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, May 29 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 209 East Broad Street, Linden, Rev. Don Neuville officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday, 12-2 PM Wednesday. A Masonic service will be held 7 PM Tuesday evening. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Red Cross . Karl was born July 23, 1947 in Flint the son of Earl Jerome and Iris Eva (Sayer) School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Linda Jean Gaines on January 31, 1970. Karl retired from General Motors working for Oldsmobile in Lansing. He served as a U.A.W. State Rep. He was an apprenticeship coordinator and taught sheet metal layout. He was a member of the Linden Masonic Lodge # 132 F. & A.M. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and boating. Surviving are: wife of 42 years Linda; two sons, Karl David School of Flint, Jeffrey Steven (Heather) School of Ohio; three grandchildren, Ahna Marie School, Katlyn Elizabeth School, Ashton Donald School; sister, Janice Braun (Jim Lentz); brother Mark School; and many more relatives and friends.
