Kathleen Huige

HUIGE, Kathleen Anne - Age 62, of Holly, died Saturday, February 6, 2016. Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Kathleen was born June 21, 1953 in Grosse Pointe Woods, the daughter of John and Henriette (VanSteelandt) Huige. She was a 1971 graduate of Lake Fenton High School and a graduate of Ross Medical Education Center in Flint. She was a member of the Fenton Eagles. Kathleen had resided in the Fenton area for the past 15 years. She enjoyed gardening and camping, but most of all spending time with her family. Surviving are: fiance, Steven Schmidt of Holly; daughter, Kelli Donigan of Grand Rapids; son, Shaun and wife Amanda Donigan of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Anish, Devin, and Emma; brothers, John and wife Susan Huige of The Villages, FL and Kevin and wife Andrea Huige of Fenton; niece Jennifer Huige of Allegan; and nephew, Andrew Huige of Belleville.
