SHEPARD, Kathleen R. "Kay" - Age 99 of Swartz Creek died Saturday, October 18, 2014. There will be a graveside service 3:30PM, Tuesday October 21, 2014 at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Michigan SPCA. Kathleen was born on June 3, 1915 in Brock, Saskatchewan, Canada to the late George and Ruth (Watson) Beadle. Kathleen married Richard G. Shepard on March 23, 1940 in Battle Creek, Michigan. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1968. She was a housewife, babysitter, and worked for 10 year at the Flint Journal part time. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint and spending time with her family, especially the Friday night sleepovers at her daughter's house, as well as shopping on Saturdays at Genesee Valley. She is survived by daughter Kay Joseph (David) of Swartz Creek, Michigan and son Gale Shepard (Helene) of Painesville, Ohio; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by , brother W. G Beadle (Alta), sister Florence (Warren) Richards, niece Norma Jean (Gene) Schmidt, and nephew Gerald Beadle.
