Katie Jenovene BROWN

BROWN, Katie Jenovene, age 104, of Flint, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Willowbrook Manor. Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 - 9:00PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Genesee County Humane Society. Katie was born August 21, 1908 in Chatum, Canada the daughter of the late James William and Kate (Haycock) Baggs. She married Harold Brown on November 7, 1927 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1976. Katie was very proud that she became and Ameican Citizen in the 1960's, She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, country music and loved to dance. She is survived by her daughter, B. Jean Kirby of Swartz Creek; 2 grandchildren, Robert Kirby (Debbie) of Flint; Melodie Harger of Flint; 6 great-grandchildren, Rebecca Elliot (Scott), Tony Dunlap, Craig Kirby (Melissa), Christopher Kirby (Kristen), Kristina Warren (John), Tony Harger; great-great-grandson, Brett Adkins and one on the way, Grayson Kirby.
