Kenneth Benning

BENNING, Kenneth Arlin - Age 83, of Grand Blanc, died January 5, 2017. Services will be held 11AM Saturday January 14, 2017 at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 7234 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, Reverend Nathan Allen officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Kenneth was born February 2, 1933 in Detroit, the son of Martin Peter and Mildred Eleanora (Kemp) Benning. He married Addie (DeMoss) Benning in Detroit on August 31, 1957. Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired from GM Chevrolet Spring and Bumper in Livonia. He was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. Kenneth loved his family and life. Surviving are his wife, Addie; two children, Debra (Timothy) Zemaitis of Howell, Lori (Mark) Lewis of South Lyon; five grandchildren, Timothy (Sarah) Zemaitis, Stephen (Jordan) Lewis, Stephanie Zemaitis, Andrea Lewis, Abigail Zemaitis; great-grandchildren, Anna, Timothy, Thomas, Elizabeth, Olga, and Zander Zemaitis; brother, Ronald (Barbara) Benning; sister-in-law, Lola Benning; several nieces and nephews.
