Kenneth Lee COGSWELL

COGSWELL, Kenneth Lee - age 64, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, September 30, 2012. Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Cogswell was born June 16 1948 in Greenville, MI, the son of Byron and Genevieve Arlene (Peterson) Cogswell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving during Vietnam. Mr. Cogswell retired from Meijer in 1999 after 32 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 294 and the North American Hunting and Fishing Clubs. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, and teaching others to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed Nascar and especially enjoyed spending time with family. Surviving are: daughter, Eva (Randy) Cairns of Gowen, MI; son, Kenneth (Joanne) Cogswell of Swartz Creek; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Pamela (Michael) Mathews of Six Lakes, MI, Diane (James) Scales of Greenville, MI.
