JOZWIK, Kenneth James - Age 78, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 14, 2017 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 6380 Beecher Road, Flint- with Pastor Jeffrey Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice House of Shiawassee County or to Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Kenneth was born January 6, 1939 in Detroit, the son of Arthur and Pauline (Rospierski) Jozwik. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Christine Gaca in November 1961 in Detroit and she preceded him in death March 15, 2004. In October 27, 2012, he married Marcy Klee. He retired from GAO Olefson in West Branch. Kenneth had resided in Swartz Creek for the past 5 years coming from Prudenville/Houghton Lake. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Flint Township. The family wishes to extend appreciation to all the medical professionals who cared for him, and a special thanks to the staff at Hospice House of Shiawassee County, Pastor Schmidt and his church family. Surviving are his wife, Marcy; children, Catherine (Fred) Davis of Florida, Carolyn Kotesky of Williamston, Karen Starkel of Flushing, Debbie (Terry) Garotte of Indiana, and Mike (Maria) Klee of Florida; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Zackary) Muller, Shane Davis, and several other grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Peter (Virginia) Jozwik of California; brother-in-law, Lyman (Margaret) Myers of Houghton Lake; cousin, Gregory (Brenda) Dolkowski; and nieces and nephews. Ken will be most remembered for his sense of humor, kind heartedness, and his love for family. Online tributes may be posted on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
