Kenneth Allen SCHEID

SCHEID, Kenneth Allen - age 70, of Burton, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, August 1, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Mr. David Pahr officiating. Interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Avalon Hospice. Mr. Scheid was born June 17, 1941 in Lancaster, PA, the son of William John and Helen (Swanger) Scheid. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air force serving as an Air Freight Specialist from 1962-1966. Mr. Scheid married Patty Beardmore on July 15, 1967 in Ft. Myers, FL. Mr. Scheid retired from General Motors in 1998. He was a member of the Swartz Creek Church of Christ and a former deacon at the Grand Blanc Church of Christ. He enjoyed wood working and loved golf. Surviving are: wife, Patty of Burton; daughter, Saundra Lumsden of Pt., Orange, FL; two sons, Matthew (Jenni) Scheid of Allen Park, Peter (Tammy) Scheid of Burton; seven grandchildren, Brandon Lumsden, Tyler Scheid, Kayla Rable, Aleasha Rable, and Alex McComber, Edwin Farrington and Jessica Farrington; brother, Michael (Ginnie) Scheid of Mt.
