Kenneth ZIELKE

Zielke, Kenneth "Ken" George, age 88, of Flint Township, passed away, Monday, December 26, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Services will be held 11:00am Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger, Flint. Pastor Jeff Walsh officiating. Visitation will be 4PM to 8PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and also 10am Thursday until time of service at the church. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Ken was born November 29, 1913 in Albany, New York, the son of the late Herman G. and Emma (Dahlgrew) Zielke. He married Phyllis J. Cameron on August 17, 1991 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flint. Mr. Zielke enjoyed Golfing and was a very active member of St. Paul Lutheran School and Church. He served his country in the Navy during WWII and retired August 1, 1980 from GM as a computer programmer. Surviving are his wife Phyllis Zielke of Flint; daughters, Linda (David) Rottermond of Macomb MI, Nancy Zielke of Kalamazoo; step-children, Robert Cameron of Grand Haven and Stephanie Cameron of Flint; many grandchildren and great grand children. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Margaret Zielke in 1989 and step-son Tom Cameron in 2010. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
