Korene Kelly

Korene D'Lynn Kelly- Age 72, of Swartz Creek, passed away December 18, 2025. A celebration of life and inurnment at Brookside Cemetery in West Branch will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes- Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek, MI 48473.

Korene was born August 19, 1953, to Edgar L. and Vera Mae (Adams) Kelly. She was involved with many local organizations in Swartz Creek including the Women’s Club, Senior Center, and the Red Hat Society. In the summer months she stayed busy volunteering with Hometown Days, Art in the Park and Camp 911.

Korene truly loved helping others. Her greatest passion in the community was working with the local food pantry. She even turned her love of shopping into a mission, finding sales and using coupons at Kroger to help stock the shelves of the food pantry and donating as much as possible to those in need.

In her free time, she enjoyed playing slots at the casino, bowling, and fishing.

Korene is survived by sisters Karen Ryan and Kristine (Roy) DeShano; sister-in-law Becky Kelly; nieces and nephews Kyle (Lina) Kelly, Bridgett (Brady) Wilke, Brittney DeShano, Brad (Kerry) Kelly, and Kim (Cliff) Brown; great-nieces and nephews, Amber (Joe) Shepherd, Amanda Kelly, Allysa Kelly, Isabella Kelly, Vanessa Kelly, and Zack Brown.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edgar L. and Vera Mae (Adams) Kelly; and siblings Terry (Catherine), Ken, and Patricia.
