Larry John David

Larry John David – Age 78, of Flushing, passed away November 28, 2025. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 10:30AM – 12:30PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A committal service will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Larry.

Larry was born August 27, 1947, in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania to John Sylvester and Martha Lousie (Banks) David. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he worked as a dog handler and trainer. Larry enjoyed riding his Harley and deer hunting. He was also an active member of the Shiawassee HOG Chapter and previously the Flint HOG Chapter.

Larry is survived by his wife Colleen David; children Rochelle Mullins, Ranette Dieck, Rodney David, and Rebecca David; “bonus kids” James Ostrander and Sherry Ostrander; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four bonus grandchildren and three bonus great-grandchildren; two sisters; and special buddy Nick Goodman

He is preceded in death by his parents; two children; and one grandchild.
