Larry Edward DISHAW

DISHAW, Larry Edward - Age 64, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Saturday, February 8, 2013 at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 9252 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Fr. Eugene Geromel officiating. There will be an ASL interpreter during the mass. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Friday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM, and at the church Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Larry E. Dishaw Memorial Fund. Larry was born February 3, 1950 in Bay City, the son of Donald J. and Esther J. (Meyer) Dishaw. He married Susan Anne Woodell October 19, 1991 at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church in Swartz Creek. He was employed by Fed Ex for many years. Larry was a member of St. Bartholomew Anglican Church and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Surviving are: his wife, Susan; 3 children, Trisha and husband Scott Shelhart of Wheatfield, IN, Alexander Merritt of Swartz Creek, and Stephanie Benner of Clio; grandson, Christian Michael Hamby of Swartz Creek; father, Donald J. Dishaw of Lady Lakes, FL; 2 sisters, Donna Bukowski and Sandra and husband Gregg Persons both of Bay City; brother, Thomas and wife Marcy Dishaw of Bad Axe; sister-in-law, Robin Brtva of Normal, IL; brother-in-law, Stephen and wife Irene Woodell of Belleville, MI; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful four legged companions, Max and Boomer.
