Larry Joe Embury

Larry Joe Embury - Age 81, of Byron, passed away May 16, 2026.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Larry was born July 13, 1944 in Fenton, the son of Elmer George and Dorothy Alleine (Rhoades) Embury. He married Peggy Ann Lloyd on August 13, 1966. Larry retired from Terex Simplicity Engineering in 2009 after 43 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Cohoctah, where he was an active member. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, camping, bowling and reading.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; children, Jody Lee Embury and Jessica Ann (Jeffrey) Steven; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, siblings, David Embury, Karen Schwartz, Nora Embury, Charlene Frost, Danny (Rita) Embury, Emmy (Victor) Prewitt; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
