Larry Kemerer

KEMERER, Larry Eugene - Age 77, of Linden, died Sunday, July 23, 2017. Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Bill Moull officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM Wednesday. Larry was born September 17, 1939 in Jeanette, PA, the son of Eugene and Gladys (Hithue) Kemerer. He was married to Dorene Marie Shea on August 4, 1962; and she preceded him in death February 11, 2011. He lived in the Flint/Linden area since 1966 coming from Pennsylvania. Larry was an Engine Repairman for over 34 years at Buick Engine, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Linden Free Methodist Church. Larry was also a member of Planet Fitness were he was a body builder and a trainer. He enjoyed snowmobiling, weight lifting, and woodworking. Surviving are: 3 children, Curt Kemerer, Sherri (John) Schumacher, and Denise Hawks; 4 grandchildren, Kara Kemerer, Rachel Hawks, Kristina Kemerer, and Dylan Hawks; 2 great-grandchildren, Jayzen Schultz and Colton Herronen; sister, Virginia (Pete) Krupp; brother, Vincent (Sandy) Kemerer; and many nieces and nephews.
