LeMieux, Larry Howard - Age 94, of Flint Twp, passed away June 29, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Home, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday and 10:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Larry was born on January 18, 1932, in Rankin, Michigan, the son of Lawrence Wilford and Gertrude Irene (Gilbert) LeMieux. He attended Flint Central High School, where he met his high school sweetheart, Joyce Elaine Marsh. The two were married on June 16, 1950, and shared a loving marriage filled with adventure and devotion. Larry retired from General Motors in 1984 after 33 years of dedicated service. During his career at Buick, he served as the American Red Cross Blood Drive Coordinator, helping organize countless blood drives that benefited the community. A man of deep faith and service, Larry was an active member of Mundy Presbyterian Church. He also dedicated 35 years as a Boy Scout Master at Westminster Presbyterian Church, mentoring generations of young men and leaving a lasting impact on their lives. Larry was a licensed commercial hot air balloon pilot and instructor who shared his passion with area youth through the Explorer Scout Troop 777. He and Joyce also loved RVing throughout North America, creating treasured memories wherever the road took them. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed creating beautiful stained-glass projects and birdhouses, talents that reflected his creativity and attention to detail. Larry is survived by his wife of 76 years, Joyce LeMieux; four children, Deborah (Robert) Standal, Dennis (Coleen) LeMieux, Randy LeMieux, and Greg (Cheryl) LeMieux; grandchildren, Brian VanWormer, Danielle Jackson, Nicole LeMieux, Phillip (Nancy) LeMieux, Elizabeth (Brent) VanBeelen, Michael LeMieux, Bobby Standal, Adam (Cherie) Standal, Mike (Taylor) Standal, and Darian (Ross) Williams; 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Gertrude LeMieux; sister, Celia Hopper; and nephew, Scott Hopper.
