Larry Neal Pickler

PICKLER, Larry Neal, age 71, of Gaines, died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be 2PM Monday, December 17, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Samuel Fleming officiating. Visitation will be 2-8PM Sunday and 1PM Monday until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Larry was born May 22, 1936 in Rector, Arkansas the son of Benard and Dottie (Dortch) Pickler. He graduated from Rector High School and later married Donna Livingston in Flint on February 1, 1958. Larry retired from General Motors as a fork lift operator in 1988 after 31 years employment.  He also enjoyed farming, spending much time nurturing and growing a variety of crops. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Donna of Gaines; 3 children, Scott (Annette) Pickler of Gaines, Brad (Melinda) Pickler of Durand, Holly (Patrick) Baumchen of Gaines; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer (Nick) Paul, Justin, Jennifer, Ryan, Rebecca, Travis and Jamie. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Hershel and Boyd Pickler. The family extends special thanks to the staff at Genesys Health Park.
