Larry was born on August 23, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, the beloved son of Roscoe Leroy and Noreen Sylvia (Eason) Robbins. A proud 1960 graduate of Mandeville High School, Larry went on to attend Central Michigan University, where he played football and began forming lifelong friendships.

On August 3, 1963, Larry married the love of his life, Suzanne Kay Krewson, in Fenton. Together, they shared over 40 years of marriage, building a home filled with laughter, devotion, and family until Suzanne’s passing in 2004.

Larry dedicated much of his life to serving the community he loved as a respected officer with the City of Fenton Police Department for 36 years. Known for his integrity, humor, and heart, he took great pride in protecting others and sharing stories from his years on the force. He was a proud member of the Police Officers Association of Michigan.

Beyond his service, Larry lived life to the fullest. He loved exploring the open road on his Gold Wing motorcycle, traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada, playing slow-pitch softball, and cheering enthusiastically from the sidelines at his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Family was the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with those he loved most.

Larry will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering love for family and community. His legacy of strength, laughter, and compassion will live on in all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his children: Krista Lyn Robbins of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jon Benjamin Robbins of Longmont, Colorado, Kelly Sue Robbins of Phoenix, Arizona, and Jarrod Walter (Thressa) Robbins of Swartz Creek, Michigan; and by his beloved grandchildren: Jordan, Taylor (Joshua), Katelyn, Benjamin, Max, Braylin, Griffin, and Dalton; Great Grandchildren Peyton and Parker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Suzanne.
