TOMAYKO, Larry- Age 58, of Lake Orion, died January 10, 2018. Private interment with Military Honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation. Larry was born September 25, 1959 in Indiana, PA, the son of Max and Marie (Janosko) Tomayko. He graduated from Clawson High School in 1977. Larry proudly served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division from 1980-1982 where he earned an Army service ribbon, an M-16 rifle expert badge, and a good conduct medal. He was an Auto Body Repairman and in his later years worked as a bunker machine operator for the Pine Knob Golf Course. Larry was an avid Detroit Lions fan and loved all sports. He especially loved his dog Wally. Most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his father, Max Tomayko; sisters, Lauren Tomayko, Teresa Purdy, and Tina (Michael) Ball; nieces Jacqueline (Derek) Gismondi and Jenna Ball; and great nephew, Lucas Gismondi as well as a loving extended family.
