McKINLEY, Laurel Marie - Age 95, of Fenton, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Reverence Hospice, 5445 Ali Dr., Grand Blanc, MI 48439 Mrs. McKinley was born August 24, 1920 in Detroit, the daughter of William and Laura (Allen) Hartner. She married DeForest E. McKinley September 13, 1947 in Flint and he preceded her in death October 27, 1995. She was a former member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, Crocheting, china painting, dinners, movies, shopping, and feeding and watching birds and squirrels, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Mrs. McKinley's caregivers, Shelly, Eva, Vickie, Traci, and Jennifer and all the staff at Reverence Hospice and special thanks to Denise. Surviving are: daughters, Gail Hyzer of Caro and Norine and husband Jim Jaster of Fenton; grandsons, Matthew and wife Kelly Jaster of Huntley, IL and William and wife Cody Jaster of Wichita Falls, TX; great grandchildren, Zoe, Noah, Sarah, Morgan, and Preston. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Janet Wolverton; brother, Norman Hartner; and son-in-law, Darrel Hyzer.
