SPRIETZER, Lawrence Eugene - Age 87, of Goodrich, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton (The mass will be live streamed and can be viewed via Lawrence's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the church Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Lawrence was born April 5, 1938 in Drummond Island, the son of Michael and Margaret (Campbell) Sprietzer. He was a 1956 graduate of Holy Redeemer Catholic High School in Detroit. He married Joyce A. Harman August 31, 1957 in Allen Park; and she preceded him in death January 18, 2011. He had resided in Goodrich for the past 15 years coming from Linden. Lawrence retired from Coca Cola after 42 years of service. He was a former member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton; and was currently attending Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Blanc. He enjoyed going to the casino's and watching sports, especially hockey.
Surviving are: his children, Lawrence (Iryna) Sprietzer of Conroe, TX, Laura (Steven) Brooks of Goodrich and Lynn (Michael) Stocker of New Baltimore; grandchildren, Brandon Brooks, Lawrence (Marlena) Sprietzer, Nicolas (Melissa) Brooks, Jessica Stocker, and Kaitlyn Stocker; great grandchildren, Shaylie, Evan, Aiden, and Addison; sisters, Patricia Sprietzer of Marquette and Charlotte (Ron) Rebitske of Ann Arbor; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Michael and Kendall Sprietzer. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
