Lawrence Leroy WORDEN

WORDEN, Lawrence Leroy - age 85, of Fenton, died Friday, January 24, 2014. Private services will be held now with a memorial to be announced in the Spring. Lawrence was born May 28, 1928 in St. Louis, MI, the son of Simon and Adda Belle (Thompson) Worden. He retired from Clintondale Public Schools in Clinton Township. What he was most proud of was his family, keeping everyone in touch with each other. He taught his family a great work ethic and the integrity to do the right thing. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carmelta; children, Jerry and wife Charlene of West Branch, JoDee and husband Patrick Atkinson of Linden; brother, Leon; grandchildren, Mike and wife Jessica Worden, Kevin Worden, Shawn and wife Kendra Worden, Jason and wife Brittany Worden, Dr. Andrew and wife Ranessa Atkinson, Anthony Atkinson; 7 great-grandchildren, Kaelynne, Kalli, Quinn, Jackson, Keller, Elle, and Eric Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Worden; grandson; Douglas Worden; siblings, Stanley, Villa, Violet, Glenn, and Lewis.
