Lela Snell

SNELL, Lela Marie - Age 86, formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2021. Visitation will be held 12-2 PM Friday, June 18, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. A graveside service will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Lela was born March 3, 1935 in Flint, the daughter of the late Otto and Edna Turnbull. Lela worked as a cook and housekeeper at Swartz Creek High School, but the job she loved most was being a homemaker for her family. She loved all for God's beautiful handy work; especially her birds. Her biggest joy in life was teaching her children and Sunday School children about Jesus. She prayed daily for all of us, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had an amazing ability to care for small children and loved working as a nanny for working parents. Lela is survived by her children, Diana (Richard) Winacoff, Ronald Snell, Karl Snell, Royce (Kimberly) Snell; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
