Lenore Liscom

LISCOM, Lenore L. (Jacobs) - Age 91, passed away peacefully at Genesys Regional Medical Center, Monday, July 24, 2017. Services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1025 Main Street, Fenton. Rev. Dean Dumbrille will officiate. Interment will follow in Flushing City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton; and from 10 AM until the time of service Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Fenton or Adopt-A-Pet, Fenton, 13575 N Fenton Rd., Fenton. Lenore was born December 18, 1925 in Detroit, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Kaminski) Josephus. She had lived in Linden for 45 years. Lenore has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1980. There, she was on the Stewardship Committee, a choir member, Chairman of the Friendship Committee, and was an original member of the Worship Singing Choir. She also was a secretary for the Fenton AARP in Linden. She is survived by: her children, Douglas (Mary) Shepard of Beach Park, IL, James (Janet) Shepard of Clemmons, NC, and Susan (David) Ransom of Flushing; grandchildren, Eric, Tera, Jamie, Beth, and Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Lenore had a joy for life, even in hard times. Laughter was her gift to all. She loved staying up with the news of her family, working in her flower beds, and spending time with her dear friends, "The Dem-Dames" who met her every Saturday at Tim Horton's to solve all the problems of the world. She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Richard Josephus; grandson, Jeremy Shepard; and dear friend, Marge Siminski.
