BATTEY, Leslie Harrison - Age 91, of Fenton, formerly of Edgewater, FL, died Thursday, April 17, 2014. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, 503 S. Leroy St., Fenton. Pastor Larry McMellen officiating. Burial in Edgewater Cemetery, FL. Visitation will be held 1:00 PM until the time of service, Wednesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Mr. Battey was born March 22, 1923 in Greenville, RI, the son of Raymond and Helen (Paine) Battey. Leslie served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had worked for the Federal Government for 45 years. He was a member of Edgewater United Methodist Church. He loved music and playing the organ. Mr. Battey is survived by his children, Robert (Carol) Battey of Vancouver, WA, Wayne (Diane) Battey of Holly Hill, FL, Donna (Chris) Anderson of Linden, Dianne (Craig) LeMieux of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Russell, Cory, Brandon, Kelsy, Cameron, Kyle, Zachary; great-grandchild, Jasper; sister-in-law, Florence Baker; sisters, Elaine (Larry) Catlow, Eleanor (Dave) Campbell; brother, Lance Battey.
