It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Leslie, a woman whose presence in this world was nothing short of extraordinary. She left us far too soon, but her legacy of strength, selflessness, and devotion will live on in all of us who had the privilege to know and be loved by her.
Leslie was the embodiment of grace, resilience, and quiet strength. Her greatest joy and deepest purpose were her family. As a mother, she poured every ounce of herself into raising her five children, guiding them with fierce loyalty and gentle wisdom. Her love was unconditional, her support steadfast, and her pride in them immeasurable. As a grandmother, her heart was fullest when surrounded by her grandchildren—their laughter lit up her world, and every hug, drawing, and milestone became a cherished memory. They brought her peace, and she gave them all her love in return.
She was also a cherished sister to her four siblings, a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a loyal, lifelong friend. To be in her presence was to feel genuinely seen, deeply cared for, and embraced by kindness. She had a rare gift for making others feel safe and valued—through a heartfelt conversation, a steady hand, or simply her calm and comforting presence.
Leslie's spirit was unshakeable, her sacrifices quiet but profound, and her love constant. She met life’s challenges with grace and an enduring faith in God, drawing strength from her spiritual foundation and the power of family, compassion, and perseverance. Her laughter, and capacity to love will be deeply missed.
Her extraordinary work ethic and deep commitment to others were evident throughout her 20-year career at Beaumont Hospital. Leslie left an indelible mark—not only on the patients she cared for, but on the colleagues privileged to work alongside her. Even as she privately battled a rare form of breast cancer, her dedication never faltered. She served with humility, dignity, and purpose—embodying the heart of a true servant leader. Her compassion and integrity reached every corner of the hospital. To her patients, she was a source of comfort; to her coworkers, a guiding light. Her absence leaves shoes that simply cannot be filled.
Leslie is survived by her five beloved children, her four adoring grandchildren, and her four devoted siblings. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who were touched by her kindness.
She is now reunited with her parents, Hans and Edna Lammert, along with other cherished loved ones, who surely embraced her with open arms and everlasting love.
To honor Leslie’s life and her lifelong dedication to others, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Hot Pink Helpers —an organization that generously supported her during her journey. It is their wish to pass that support along to others walking similar paths.
While the ache of her absence is profound, we take comfort in knowing her legacy lives on—in the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the strength she showed. Her spirit will forever remain a guiding light.
