Leslie L. LEMIEUX, M.D.

LeMIEUX, Leslie L. Jr., M.D. - Age 86, of Flint, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Private graveside services will be held. The family will receive friends and family at the Flint Golf Club, 3100 Lakewood Dr. Flint Saturday, November 16 from 12-3 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Flint Institute of Arts or the Flint Institute of Music. Dr. LeMieux was born July 4, 1927 in Flint, the son of Leslie, Sr. and Gertrude (Hockstad) LeMieux. He graduated from Flint Central High School in June, 1944. He served in the United States Navy from 1945-1946. He graduated from Alma College in June 1949. He then graduated from Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, OH (now Case Western Reserve) in June, 1954. Dr. LeMieux had his private practice, Family Internal Medicine in Flint from 1955-1993. Between 1973-1993 he was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at Michigan State College of Human Medicine. He was an active Medical Staff and Undergraduate and Graduate Teaching Staff member of the Department of Internal Medicine at McLaren Regional Medical Center and Hurley Medical Center in Flint since 1955. He was a Consultant Staff Member of the Department of Internal Medicine at Genesee Memorial Hospital in Flint since 1955 and Courtesy Medical Staff at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint from 1955-1993. Dr. LeMieux married Linda Johnson July 15, 1989 in Flint. Surviving are: his wife, Linda; 2 children, Linda D. LeMieux of Colorado Springs, CO and Leslie E. LeMieux of Nashville, TN; 3 stepchildren, Richard Utley of Flushing, Harold Utley of Mt. Morris, and MaryLinda and husband Larry Webster of Ann Arbor; 3 grandchildren, John, Abigail, and Sam Webster; step brother, Keith and wife Mary of Grawn and their daughter, Janet Borgerson of Rochester, NY.
