Lillie Ellen Morris SCHOPIERAY

SCHOPIERAY, Lillie Ellen (Blue) Morris - Age 93, of Mt. Morris, MI, died Monday, September 2, 2013 at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich. Born in Montgomery County, NC., daughter of the late Malcolm Colin Blue and Maggie Ellen (Bennett) Blue. Mrs. Schopieray was a caring mother & grandmother and loved all of her children & grandchildren. She earned a 20 year pin for volunteering at Krapo Senior Center in Flint, MI. She was twice married, first to the late Walter Lee Morris of Mt. Gilead, NC. They met and were married for 17 years. He was the love of her life. Walter was in World War II and after his discharge they eventually relocated to Flint, MI, for employment at General Motors. She later married the late Eugene "Gene" Leonard Schopieray, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children, James Arthur Morris and wife Rosemary of Davison, MI, Gloria Jean (Morris) Back of Mt. Morris, MI, Sylvia "Arleen" (Morris) Hall-Oberlin-Ketchens and husband Rory of Flint, MI, Keith Lee Morris and wife Jalyn of Jackson Springs, NC; seven grandchildren, James Lee Morris and wife Chris of Flint, MI, Tracy Lynn Morris of Flint, MI, James Atkinson and wife Joellen of Davison, MI, Tonya Marie Hall-Parker of Clio, MI, Scott Douglas Oberlin and wife Joni of Knoxville, TN, Keith Lee Morris Jr. of Jackson Springs, NC, Alton Jake "A.J." Morris of Jackson Springs, NC; 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, Lee Roy Blue and wife Dianne of Summerfield, FL and also her sister, Willie Mae Blackwell of Charlotte, NC. Cremation has taken place. All last respects were made to Lillie while in hospice care per her wishes. Her final resting place will be Pleasant Hill, Candor, NC., on the Blue family plot.
