Linda Margaret Ballard

Ballard, Linda Margaret - Age 78, of Gaines, passed away January 16, 2026. Private family services will be held. Linda was born on June 11, 1947, in Highland Park, Michigan, the daughter of Elmer and Mary (Slocum) Mills. She worked as a manicurist for many years and had a passion for antiques, which she restored, collected, and sold. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Roy) Uhlmeyer; son-in-law, Tom Schaefer; grandchildren, Matt Schaefer, Lucas Schaefer, Drew Margaret (Ryan) Cumberworth, and Carly Uhlmeyer; special cousin, Janice Nelson; special friend, Al Glass. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mary Mills; her daughter, Tina Marie Schaefer; five siblings; her dear friends, Sandy Gooding, Carol Erickson, Ken and Marie Stephens; and her beloved Labrador, Scooby.
