Linda Irene Wharton

Linda Irene Wharton, age 85, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at McLaren Flint. Memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Monday, February 2, 2026 at Clio Church of Christ, 219 New St. Clio MI 48420. Linda was born on December 22, 1940 in Bad Axe, Michigan, the daughter of the late Russell and Beatrice (Burk) Soper. She graduated from Bad Axe High School. Linda worked in medical records at Owosso Memorial Hospital for many years before her retirement. She was united in marriage to Billy Wharton on December 30, 1989 in Corunna. Sadly, he preceded her in death on September 24, 2012. Linda was a member of Owosso Church of Christ. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and flowers. Linda was very creative and crafty, spending time making jewelry, paintings and many crafts.

She is survived by her daughter Shari (Jerry) Berry; son, Bud Wallace; grandchildren, Rodney Thrower, Terra (Jeff) Morgan, Nathan (Kaite) Dillon, Justin Wallace, Trent Wallace and Jason Wallace; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Patti Kautz; and brother, Tim (Gail) Soper.
