Lloyd Flewelling

FLEWELLING, Lloyd Lawrence -- Age 88, of Linden, died June 11, 2018. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Rev. Dean Dumbrille officiating. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4 - 8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM - 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Lloyd was born May 21, 1930 in Flint, the son of Donald and Norma (Hall) Flewelling and was a 1948 graduate of Flint Northern High School. Lloyd retired from General Motors after 26 years of service and owned many different businesses in the Flint area for more than 35 years. He married Dorothy (Dunk) Dolliver on August 16, 2006. Lloyd was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fenton. He loved painting and had painted most of his family's homes throughout the years. Surviving are: wife, Dorothy; 10 children, Carol "Susie" (Greg) Middleton of Durand, Kathryn Isham of Flint, Denise (Mark) Cavin of Flint, Pam (Chuck) Russell of Flint, Nicolette (James) Holman of Macomb, Bill (Debbie) Dolliver of Linden, Charles (Vicky) Dolliver of Linden, David (Cindy) Dolliver, Ann (Mike) Dimmer of Calumet, and Debbie (Brent) LaVanway of Fenton; daughter-in-law, Jean Flewelling of Flint; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his first wife, Veronica B. Flewelling; five children, Larry Flewelling, Jim Flewelling, Chande Crawley, Sharon Cowell, and Sandra Bucknam.
