Lois Ann Lake

Lois Ann Lake, of Flushing, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was 89.

Born September 2, 1936 in Saint Ignace, she was the daughter of John and Helen (Rabideau) Martineau. Lois was born and raised in Saint Ignace graduating from LaSalle High School and resided there until moving to Flushing in 1969. On May 21, 1955 Lois married Konrad D. Lake in St. Ignace. She was a member of St. Robert’s Church. Lois enjoyed bird watching, picnics at her and Konrad’s favorite waterfall up north and spending time at their summer cabin on Brevort Lake.

Lois is survived by her children; Judith Tenbusch and her husband Fred of Flushing, Randall Lake of Flushing, Mary Halpin and her husband Scott of Parker, CO and John Lake of St. John, MI; 11 grandchildren, Nicki, Kellie, Tim, John Paul, Rick, Joe, Aaron, James, Stephen, Kyer and Rachel as well as 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Konrad in 2016, her son William Lake and two daughters in law, Patti Lake and Tracy Lake.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 10 AM  at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek. There will be visiting from 9 AM  until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral  home.  Entombment will follow the service at 12:30 at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
