Loraine E. Holzhauer

Loraine E. Holzhauer - Age 94, of Grand Blanc, passed away June 2, 2025. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Friday, June 6, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., with a rosary at 6PM. Loraine was born August 5, 1930 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Lorne and Frances (Kleinsorge) Wood. She married Francis X. Holzhauer on August 29, 1953. Loraine earned a Bachelors Degree in Business from University of Detroit and later went on to graduate from University of Michigan with a Masters in Education. She was a school Librarian/Media Specialist for many years in both Catholic and public schools. She retired from Dearborn Public Schools. Loraine enjoyed golfing, playing cards (especially Bridge), bowling, aqua aerobics, playing the piano and singing in the church choir. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Paul) Adams; son, Robert Holzhauer; grandchildren, Patrick Adams, Peter (Amanda) Adams, Andrew (Laura) Adams, Nicholas Adams, Nathanael (Sydney) Adams and Sarah Adams; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Annabelle, Norah, Madeline, Henry, Dylan, Declan, Catherine, Colin, Vivian and Elliott; sisters-in-law, Joanne Holzhauer and Donna Holzhauer; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Holzhauer on August 2, 2009 and brother, Frank Wood.
