HARMON, Loretta Elaine - Age 89, of Fenton, died Friday, November 29, 2013 at Argentine Care Center. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel. 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor David Leineke officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. An O.E.S. #175 Linden Chapter Service will be held at 7 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to Boy Scouts of America or Order of Eastern Stars #175 Linden Chapter. Loretta was born November 28, 1924 in Waldenburg, AR, the daughter of Donald Jack and Opal (Tapp) Moore. She was a graduate of Utley High School in Flint Township. Loretta married Carl Harmon on November 6, 1943 in Flint and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2012 after 68 years of marriage. She was a past Matron of Linden O.E.S. #175, Girl Scout leader, and Den Mother. Loretta enjoyed painting, sewing, quilting, making crafts, and decorated cakes for many years. Loretta enjoyed traveling with her husband Carl in their motor home around the country. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Karen) Harmon of St. Helen, Larry (Debby) Harmon of Hendersonville, NC, Joanne (Keith) Purzycki of Fenton; six grandchildren, Scott (Shelby) Harmon, Amanda (Aaron) Cooley, Steven Harmon, Erin Purzycki, Matthew Harmon, Chad Purzycki; great grandchildren, Tristan Harmon and Lila Jane Cooley. She also leaves behind her niece, Janie Corneliussen from Ocala, FL and several cousins and grand nieces and nephews.
