Peltonen, Louis C. -Age 80, of Fenton, beloved husband of Lorraine, passed away peacefully at home, May 17, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday May 21, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Internment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive family/friends Saturday 6-9PM and Sunday 2-4PM and 6-9PM. Louis was born in Flint MI. June 19, 1931. He retired from Fisher Body 1 after 30 years of service as a Sheet Metal Worker. He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army, serving as a Medic, and a member of the Fenton VFW Curtis-Wolverton Post 3242. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Lorraine and daughters: Pamela(Steven) Nagy, Gayle Peltonen, Sheila(Brian) Petty; and his 7 Grandchildren: Joshua, Lindsey, Aimee(Roy Mitchell), Jonathan Nagy; Andrew(Erin) Covert, Todd (Alyce) Petty, Lauren(Brian) Petersen; and 4 Great grandchildren: Hannah and Ryan Covert, and Tucker and Tripp Petty. Siblings: Ruth Ferris, George (Naomi) Peltonen and Richard Peltonen; In-Laws: Laura Hodge, Mamie Both, Helga Peltonen, Bob (Linda) Trego and many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents: Oscar and Anna Peltonen, sisters Lorraine Floyd and Betty Peltonen, and brothers Wallace(Delores) Peltonen and Robert Peltonen as well as his brother in laws Rudy Both, Oren Hodge, and Joseph Ferris.
