Kashubosky, Louise Alta - Age 76, Durand, passed away May 2, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek with Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, May 5; 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 6 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. A rosary will be prayed Tuesday at a time to be announced. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 7 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Interment will be at a later date at St. Mary Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Louise, may be made to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church or the American Diabetes Association.

Louise was born October 2, 1948 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Elmer Stephen Holman and Josephine Louise (Green) Holman. Louise married Francis "Bud" Kashubosky on June 27, 1970 in Lapeer. She graduated from the Hurley Medical Center School of Nursing in 1970; then received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) from the University of Michigan Flint in 1979; and later received her Master of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) from Wayne State University. She attended Indiana University and Purdue University in Indianapolis for Post Graduate courses in Nursing Education. She had a long career as a Registered Nurse and then went on to work as a Nursing Professor at Mott Community College, retiring in 2007. After retirement, she maintained her RN license. She was a life member of the Hurley School of Nursing Alumni Association, life member of American Nurses Association. She was a long time participant in the Nurses' Health Study II. Louise was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek and a previous member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Francis "Bud" Kashubosky of Durand; daughter, Laura (Mike) Waterman; grandchildren, Nicole (Kenny) Hitchcock, Taylor Waterman (Codey Coil), Zachary (Jessie) Hope; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Riley; siblings, David (Michele) Pike and Howard (Katharine) Pike; sister-in-law, Patricia Kashubosky Tripp; nieces, Chelsea Pike, Vanessa (Johnny) Lopez, and Kelly Tripp Forrest; nephew, Rob Tripp.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Holman and Josephine Pike; son, Michael; sister, Stephanie (Wayne) Worley, and niece, Juli Cargill.
