Lyman Edwin SMITH

SMITH, Lyman Edwin - Age 94, of Flint, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Burial immediately following in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Legion Post #64. Lyman was born December 30, 1919 in Beaverton, the son of George and Mary (Dashmer) Smith. He married Margaret E. Anderson and she preceded him in death October 6, 2010. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1981 from GM Chevrolet after 25 years of service. Lyman was a member of the American Legion Post #64 and U.A.W. Local 659.
