Lynn E. Rye, age 82, of Flint, passed away at his house with family at his side on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Lynn will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at a later date. Please continue to keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Lynn was born on October 11, 1941 in Michigan. He married the love of his life, Fay Bittinger on December 13, 1965 and together they where blessed with their two sons, Glen & Richard. In their earlier years they enjoyed many camping trips in their RV throughout Michigan. Lynn's passion in life was coaching baseball. He volunteered coaching for both his sons and grandchildren's baseball team faithfully every year. As if Lynn couldn't get enough coach he was also the Assistant Varsity Baseball coach to Carman - Ainsworth High School and for many years he also coached at the CANUSA games. Overall Lynn was a simple man who enjoyed putzing in his garage, deer hunting and above all spending time with his family.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Fay Rye; his two sons, Glen "Ed" Rye and Richard (Jessica) Rye; four grandchildren, Kenneth Johnson II, Brittany Rye, Timothy Rye (Tristin) and Mila Rye and his son-in-law, Ken Johnson. Lyn is further survived by many other dear family members and friends.
