Lynne Anne Marko, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 24, 2025.
Lynne was born on July 15, 1944, in Flint, Michigan, to AJ and Mary Dillon, and grew up alongside her cherished sister, Diane (Saxton). She attended St. John Vianney schools from kindergarten through high school before going on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Marquette University.
While working at General Motors, she met the love of her life, Andrew Marko. They married on February 15, 1969, and went on to share almost 57 wonderful years together. They raised two daughters who brought immense joy to their lives. Pamela Lynne was born on October 30, 1970, followed by Peggy Diane on April 9, 1973.
Once her daughters were grown, she returned to work as the office manager for Precise Product Engineers, a business owned by her sister Diane and brother-in-law Robert Saxton.
Her proudest role, however, came with the arrival of her granddaughters. She welcomed Amelia Carrie Grasso in May 2008 and Sylvia Lynne Grasso in November 2010, embracing her new role as a doting Mimi. She adored every moment spent with them, whether babysitting, cheering them on at their music and sporting events, or sharing stories of their many talents with others.
She was known for her warmth, kindness, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. To her family, she was the “original Martha Stewart,” a consummate hostess who made every gathering special. She also cherished her time at Dillon Cottage in East Tawas, Michigan, enjoyed beach days with family and friends, and was an active member of Fenton Bay View Club in Fenton, Michigan.
She will be remembered for her generous heart, her devotion to her family, and the countless lives she touched with her friendship and love.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew; her daughters, Pam (Adam Baker) and Peggy (Paul Grasso); her granddaughters, Millie and Sylvie; her sister, Diane; and many extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM Monday, September 29, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
A celebration of Lynne’s life will be held at a later date and details to follow.
