Maisie Kaye CURTIS

CURTIS, Maisie Kaye, age 17, of Linden, passed away suddenly on January 1, 2013. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be 1-3PM and 5-9PM Friday and 1PM Saturday until time of service. Memorial donations may be made to University of Michigan Children's Center, Ann Arbor. Maisie was born January 3, 1995 in Flint. She had lived in Linden with her family all her life. Maisie attended Linden High School where she was active in the LHS Band. She was a member of the perscussion section, Drum Corp, Winter Guard and Color Guard. Outside of her band committments she also involved in Quiz Bowl, Student Council and National Honor Society. Maisie was a loving person, who valued her friendships and family relationships. She was a giving person to the very end, as she was an organ donor, contributing to extending the lives of 55 other fortunate recipients. Maisie will be loved forever by all who knew her. Surviving are her dedicated mother, Trisha Curtis; brother, Takoma Curtis; sisters, Kirstie and Paige Rogers; grandparents, Cheryl and Arnold Berry; great-grandmother, Barbara McCormick and several extended loving family members. She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Briana Rae Curtis; great-grandfather, Charles McCormick; and aunt, Marcia Fick.
