Marceita Johnson

JOHNSON, Marceita Jane (Towne)- Age 84, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, March 6, 2015. Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 10 at Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to Shriners Children's Hospital or McLaren Hospitality House. Marceita was born September 30, 1930 in Detroit, the daughter of Dernal and Betty (Blevins) Towne. She married Charles "Ernie" Johnson on June 4, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1997. She was a bus driver for the Carman School District for years. She enjoyed bingo and fishing with her husband. Marceita is survived by three children, Linda (Norman) Mack of Houston, TX, Charles (Edwina) Johnson of Gaines, James (LaDeanna) Johnson of Swartz Creek; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger (Beverly) Towne.
