Marcia Ann (Schupbach) Freeman, age 94 of Linden, journeyed from this earthly realm peacefully on March 1, 2026. Reunited now with her parents, Harold and Morilla (McIntyre) Schupbach and her 9 siblings as well as many family members and friends. Her spirit will now watch over her husband, Bill Freeman. Marcia and Bill’s love story began in their mid-teens at Fenton High School and has been an inspiration. In their early years, dates would often be hunting and fishing adventures. The two married at St Jude’s Episcopal Church in Fenton on October 17, 1952. A huntress and fisherman in her own right, Marcia was an exceptional wild game cook, specializing in pan fried bluegills served with her famous apple pie for family gatherings at their home on scenic Pine Lake. Marcia’s love will continue to be felt by her four children, Amy, Matt (Linda), Mark (Patty), and David (Lynn). Her 12 grandchildren; Josh, Megan, Krystn, Jared, Ian, Jake, Laura, Jennifer, Michael, Madi, Gabrielle, Erica and 17 great-grandchildren. Marcia was an ever-present supporter and fan of all their sports, dance, arts, and activities.
Like so many of her Schupbach siblings, Marcia was incredibly creative, a true artist! She was a painter, seamstress, calligrapher and an overall amazing crafter.
An active member of St Jude’s Episcopal Church in Fenton, since she was a teenager, Marcia genuinely believed “All Are Welcome”.
For the past 2 years our family has been blessed to have the incredible staff at Tanglewood Memory Care add even more love to Marcia and our family’s life. We would also like to extend our appreciation to The Medical Team Hospice for their attentiveness and support. Tanglewood, The Medical Team Hospice and all the Family and Friends have been so much help and support on this journey.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, March 14, 2026 at St. Jude's Episcopal Church, 106 E. Elizabeth St, Fenton. Rev. Susan Anslow Williams officiating. A gathering with family and friends will be 4-8 PM Friday, March 13 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton; and 10 AM until the time of service Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marcia may be made to St. Jude’s Episcopal Church or The Medical Team Hospice.
