ANDERSON, Margaret Mary "Peggy" - age 86, of Linden, died Friday, November 27, 2015 at Caretel Inns of Linden with her family by her side. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:30 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with the Rev. Fr. David Harvey as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, November 30 from 5-9 PM, Tuesday, December 1 from 1-4 PM and 6-9 PM, with a Rosary being prayed at 7 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. The family will also receive friends from 12:30 until the time of Mass on Wednesday at the church. Peggy was born October 5, 1929, in Trenton, N.J. She was the daughter of Peter and Frances (Dorsey) Dillon. Peggy was married to the late Raymond C. Anderson at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Trenton, N.J. on January 9, 1954, and graduated from Cathedral High School in Trenton, N.J. Peggy and Ray resided in Fenton where they raised their eight children. She was a homemaker, loving mother and friend, as well as Secretary of St. John's Catholic School from 1973 to 1977. Peggy had a variety of interests which included being skilled at needlepoint and knitting. She was a trained opera singer and performer, and music was her passion. She was a very active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in various capacities. Peggy was also a hospice volunteer for several years. As Peggy was pure Irish, she was also known as a great Notre Dame football fan. All who knew Peggy, will also fondly remember her for her infectious smile and loving embrace. She was compassionate and kind, and will be dearly missed. Surviving are four daughters, Meg Telgenhoff, Mary (Robert) Guilbault, Katie Anderson, Tricia (Dick) Thayer, all of Fenton; four sons, Ray of Lorraine, Ohio, Frank of Salado, Texas, Matt (Mary Beth) of Beaverton, Oregon, and Chris (Angela) of Ada, MI; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eileen Howard of Trenton, N.J. and sister-in-law, Phyllis Dillon of Yardville, N.J. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patricia and brother, Robert. The Anderson family would also like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Caretel Inns of Linden and Heartland Hospice of Flint.
