Margaret "Meg" Telgenhoff

Margaret “Meg” Telgenhoff, 70, of Fenton, MI, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, surrounded by her family. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 5, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (600 N. Adelaide St. Fenton, Michigan 48430) with Fr. David Harvey officiating.  Those that are unable to attend may watch by livestream. The family will receive guests from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Sharp Funeral Homes - Fenton Chapel (1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Michigan 48430), with a Vigil Service at 5 PM Sunday at the funeral home and from 10:00 AM Monday at the church until the time of the service. For those desiring, contributions may be made in memory of Meg to the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary - Fenton Chapter.

Meg was born on October 21, 1955, in Flint, MI to Ray and Peggy (Dillon) Anderson. She spent her early childhood on Lynn Street in Flint before moving with her parents and seven brothers and sisters to Fenton in 1966. She graduated from high school in 1974 and went on to dedicate 30 years of her working life to General Motors.

After retiring, Meg continued to devote much of her time and energy to the things that mattered most to her: her faith, family, friends, and community.

Meg was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, neighbor, and woman of deep Catholic faith. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in the people they had become. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with her children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Meg was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Peggy Anderson, and her beloved twin brother, Frank Anderson.

She is survived by her son, Tom (Maryanne) Telgenhoff, Jr. of Woodbury, MN; her daughter, Jen Telgenhoff of St. Louis Park, MN; and her grandchildren, Luke, Ellie, Laney, and Brayden Telgenhoff, Alexis Wallen, and Sully Russell. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Adelaide, Charlotte, Beau, and Sawyer.

Meg is also survived by her siblings, Ray Anderson of Lorain, OH; Matt (Mary Beth) Anderson of Oregon City, OR; Mary (Rob) Guilbault of Coopersville, MI; Katie Anderson of Linden, MI; Tricia (Dick) Thayer of Linden, MI; and Chris (Angela) Anderson of Lowell, MI She leaves behind many adored nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as a large extended family on the East Coast.

Meg shared a deep and loving bond with her children, Tom and Jenny, who were the center of her world. She was incredibly proud of them and cherished the time they spent together. She was always there for her children, offering encouragement, support, a listening ear, and unconditional love whenever they needed her. Her children knew they could always count on their mom, and her greatest joy was seeing them happy and being part of their lives. The love between Meg and her children was strong, unconditional, and everlasting, and the memories they created together will remain a treasured part of their lives.

Meg loved her brothers and sisters dearly, and the bond they shared was one of the most important parts of her life. Their time together created countless memories: dance parties in the kitchen, family holidays, singing along to Bruce Springsteen, doing the kick line to “New York, New York,” and Friday night bingo with her sisters at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Those moments of laughter, music, and family were among the ones she treasured most.

A devout Catholic, Meg was an active and dedicated member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton. Her faith was not simply something she practiced; it was woven into the way she lived her life. She participated in multiple Bible study classes, volunteered with RCIA, was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and helped with funeral luncheons. She also served as a former chair and longtime volunteer for Applefest.

Meg was known for her incredibly generous heart. Whenever someone needed help, she was there. She never hesitated to give her time, lend a helping hand, or do whatever she could to make someone’s life a little easier. She gave freely of herself to her family, friends, church, and community, rarely expecting anything in return. Helping and caring for others was simply part of who she was.

Friendship was another great source of happiness in Meg’s life. She had a special group of friends who were very dear to her, and she loved their lunches, get-togethers, conversations, laughter, and simply spending time together. These friendships brought her tremendous joy and remained a cherished part of her life.

Meg will be remembered for her unwavering faith, extraordinary generosity, devotion to her family, and willingness to always be there when someone needed her. She was the person people knew they could turn to, confident that she would show up, lend a hand, and care deeply. Her kindness was not something she simply spoke about; it was how she lived every day.

Her absence will be deeply felt by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, extended family, special friends, and the many people whose lives she touched. The love she gave so freely, the faith that guided her, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will remain with them always.

May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of God and be reunited with those she loved who went before her.
