VEREEKE, Margaret Nadine - Age 76, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Fr. Steve Makranyi officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice. Margaret was born January 11, 1936 in Mansfield, OH, the daughter of Otto M. and Lorine J. (Coleman) Copeland. She married Raymond L. Vereeke, Sr. February 19, 1955 in Grand Rapids and he preceded her in death December 3, 1986. She retired from AC Delphi after 15 years of service. Margaret's most important role was that of a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. Surviving are: 3 children, Raymond L. Vereeke, Jr., Doreen and husband Steven Woggermon, and Theresa Justice all of Swartz Creek; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Stevens of Grand Rapids; and brother, Otto Copeland of Grand Rapid; many nieces and nephews; her faithful companions, Chola and Rocky; and many loving friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Andres; sister, Jan Fisher; and brother, Robert Copeland.
