Marguerite Ann Plumb

Marguerite Ann Plumb, age 88, of Linden, passed away peacefully in her home September 21, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 26, 2026, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM Friday and from 10:00 AM until the time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Linden Historical Society.

Marguerite was born December 10, 1937, in Linden, the daughter of Moody and Marguerite Clara (Johnson) Stone. She was a lifelong resident of Linden. On December 24, 1953, she married Arnold W. Plumb in Linden.

Marguerite was perhaps best described by the Finnish concept of sisu-a spirit of strength, determination, and perseverance. She was strong, fiercely independent, and never afraid to speak her mind. She was the head of her family and took great pride in every generation. Marguerite was active in many civic organizations throughout her life, including Linden Summer Happenings and the Linden Historical Society, reflecting her deep love for and commitment to her community.

She is survived by her sons, Gregory (Robin) Plumb of Oklahoma City and Dennie (Robert Pospisil) Plumb of Gaines; daughter-in-law, Debbie Plumb; grandchildren, Monica (Tony) Campbell, Adam Plumb, Kyle (Kristi) Plumb, Tina (Bill) Lucero, Amber England, Joshua (Amanda) Plumb, Casey (Harold) Nicholson, and Randi (Shawn) Kindt; great-grandchildren, Justin, Travis, Taylor, Jessica, Josie, Ella, Lily, Penelope Marguerite, Benjamin, Xoe, Kyla, William, Emmett, Aiden, and Zander; and great-great-grandchildren, Alannah and Asher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; son, Randy; great-granddaughter, Savanah; brother, Jesse Warner; and sister, Mary Warren.
