HARRIS, Marie G. - Age 89, of Fenton, died May 3, 2013 at her home. Services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Dale Swihart officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service. Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice Advantage. Marie was born March 11, 1924 in Meaford, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Harry E. and Eleanor (Peterkin) Durant. She was a 1942 graduate of Fenton High School. She was married to Robert Harris on June 24, 1944 in Highland Park. Marie enjoyed gardening and cooking. Surviving are: husband, Robert; children, Robert J. (Lorraine) Harris, Patricia (Dan) Badaluco; grandchildren, Robert (Jeanie) Harris, J. Matthew Harris, Daniel (Helene) Badaluco, David Badaluco, Susan (Ron) Dominquez; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Diane (Tom) Bencic, Lynda O'Brien, David (Paula) Durant, Todd (Zana) Durant, Jeff (Sherry) Loucks; and special friend, Kathy Stratton. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond Durant, sister, Jean Loucks; daughter-in-law, Jean "Duffy" Harris.
