Marilyn Cypher

CYPHER, Marilyn Jean - Age 88, of Fenton, died Monday, January 15, 2018. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, January 19, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. Todd Koenigsknecht celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Thursday from 2-4 and 5-8 PM where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM and at church Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project. Marilyn was born October 7, 1929 in Butler, PA, the daughter of E. Glen and Mildred Estella (Christie) Reardon. She married M. Raymond Cypher August 27, 1948 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cabot, PA and he preceded her in death September 30, 2016. She retired as a Surgical Scrub Nurse in the Surgical Unit at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Marilyn was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She also was a life member of the Roscommon V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #4159 and the member of the St. Helen American Legion Post #416. She greatly enjoyed cooking and baking for every occasion. Surviving are: sons, Daniel and wife Laura Cypher of Fenton, David and wife Jeri-Ann Cypher of Fenton, and Rolf and wife Ulla Olofsson of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Owen and wife Stacy Cypher of Oxford, Abby Cypher of Oxford, Joshua Cypher of Nevada, Catharine Cypher of Washington D.C., Harrison Cypher of Fenton, and Lauren Zepeda of Kalamazoo; great grandchildren, Layla, Jared, Carter, and Cannon.
